Food with Purpose

At Paraclete Christian Learning Academy, mealtime is a joyful, intentional part of our day. All meals are prepared in our fully equipped commercial kitchen by our degreed culinary professional, ensuring children receive wholesome, flavorful foods made with expert care.

Our food program is uniquely enriched by our partnership with LeNôtre Culinary Institute, allowing culinary students to complete supervised training hours at PCLA and bring creativity and excellence and fresh inspiration into our kitchen.

Children experience a variety of colorful foods, simple cooking demonstrations, and occasional garden-to-table activities that spark curiosity and help them enjoy the good things God provides. We never pressure children to eat; instead, we create a calm, encouraging atmosphere where they can try new foods at their own pace and enjoy fellowship around the table.

Our staff follows clear safety practices, including allergy-awareness procedures, proper food handling, and close supervision during meals. Families receive regular communication through ProCare so they know what their children are eating each day and can share any dietary needs or concerns.

Mealtime at PCLA reflects our commitment to serve families with quality, warmth, and thoughtfulness — nourishing little bodies so their hearts and minds can grow.

Taste of What We Serve

Children enjoy balanced meals that may include:

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Whole grains and nutritious sides
  • Lean proteins and warm entrées
  • Dairy or dairy alternatives
  • Allergy-friendly accommodations as needed

We work closely with families to support dietary needs (when able), communicating clearly with teachers and parents to ensure safe, enjoyable mealtimes for all children.

Exploring Food in Fun, Hands-On Ways

Food is not only nourishing — it can be a wonderful learning experience! At PCLA, children occasionally enjoy:

  • Simple cooking demonstrations
  • Garden-to-table activities
  • Tasting opportunities
  • Food-themed crafts or sensory play

These experiences build curiosity and help children enjoy God’s good gifts in age-appropriate ways — without pressure or expectation.
