Who We Are
Paraclete Christian Learning Academy is named after the biblical word paraclete, meaning “one who comes alongside to help.” This reflects our deepest commitment: to come alongside parents in the sacred work of guiding, teaching, and nurturing their children during these foundational years.
We believe early childhood is a season in which children begin forming patterns of thinking, relating, and learning that shape their lives. For this reason, our academy emphasizes intentional teaching, heart-focused guidance, and a supportive partnership with families. Our desire is to cultivate an environment marked by truth, compassion, order, and joyful exploration.
Flowing out of this commitment, PCLA serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years as a Houston early learning community devoted to a structured, nurturing environment where children can grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our Mission
Paraclete Christian Learning Academy is a faith-driven early learning program shaped by a biblical philosophy of education. We believe early childhood is a formative season in which children begin developing patterns of thinking, relating, and learning that last a lifetime. Because of this, our academy is built on intentionality—intentional teaching, intentional guidance, and intentional partnership with parents. Our aim is to cultivate classrooms where truth, compassion, order, and joyful exploration work together for each child’s good.
Our Educational Approach
Our philosophy reflects both Texas Minimum Standards and a biblical understanding of child development. We seek to support the whole child—spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally—through purposeful teaching and consistent routines.
At PCLA, we emphasize:

- curriculum tools (Abeka, Frog Street, Tiny Theologians) that support developmental milestones and reinforce biblical truths

Our Educators
Our teachers are more than classroom supervisors — they are spiritually and professionally equipped to shepherd the hearts and minds of young children. Each member of our teaching team receives ongoing development in Christian education and biblical principles for understanding and guiding behavior. This training helps our staff cultivate classrooms marked by clarity, consistency, compassion, and purposeful instruction.
We believe that children flourish when they are taught by educators who love the Lord, understand child development, and take joy in helping each child grow. At PCLA, your child will be surrounded by adults who pray for them, teach them with intentionality, and partner with you to support their growth in every area.
We view early childhood education as discipleship and development, not daycare.
